phewww i just got back from a long day out  but a good day out! a friend is visiting our house from out of town, so we're spending the weekend showing her around Seattle. today we went on a shopping spree and i wanted to post all the little treats i got for myself.

we started the day in the University District, and the first stop was a store called Gargoyles Statuary, a goth shop with mystical, witchy vibes that's been around since the early 90s. they sell home decor, trinkets, jewelry, and some clothing and accessories, so i got myself this shirt and a little dragon magnet.

i'll buy literally anything with a dragon on it, and Gargoyles sells a TON of dragon items. someday all of it will be mine

the next stop was bubble tea, which i didn't take a picture of, but i got a mango passionfruit smoothie with popping boba. i'm not really into bubble tea, but i love boba smoothies. a woman in a cool grungy kinda outfit said she liked our clothes, so i told her i liked her style, too. i didn't take any pictures of my outfit for the day, which i regret because it was tbh. later in the day i did take a blurry selfie at the streetcar stop, though, because i liked my makeup. i've been experimenting with shaving all of my facial hair, not just my beard, and doing a full face of makeup, and i'm liking how it looks on me. i'm struggling to figure out how to successfully cover the dark circles under my eyes, though— using a light-colored concealer doesn't do much, so i think i need to try color correction? i didn't start wearing makeup until after transitioning, so this is new territory to me

anyway, after we had boba, the next stop was H-Mart. our visiting friend is a KPop Person, so she wanted to see if they had any KPop Stuff. they didn't, but they did have a bunch of really cute stationery. i've been looking for a card to send my mom, so i picked this felt bunny that says "FOR YOU" with a little spot to write a note on the back. at least i think it's a bunny?

after H-Mart, we took the train to the Capitol Hill area and stopped into a comic and tabletop gaming store for my husband to buy some stuff he's been reading, and we also bought ourselves some dice sets, because at the end of this month we're participating in our first DnD game with some of his coworkers! we didn't need to buy dice, because the DM is bringing extra sets to the game sessions, but these were pretty and shiny so we had to have them...

we stopped into another goth shop, and my husband got some stuff, but they didn't have anything that i wanted (or that fit me). after that we took a detour to Doghouse Leathers, a sex shop focusing on the gay leather community. husband and i were looking to buy a new toy there, but we didn't see anything that caught our eye because we're super picky about dicks lol. we ended up going to the sex shop next store, Babeland, and still didn't see any interesting dongs but we got a new dildo base cover. these things fit over the base of a dildo to provide stimulation to the wearer when using the dildo with a strap-on harness. we already had one, but the one we had didn't have any texture so it wasn't really doing anything for me besides cushioning my pubic bone. hoping this one does a better job

after that we were all starving so we took the streetcar to the international district and had hot pot for dinner, and i ate an obscene amount of shiitake mushrooms and glass noodles. then we went to Uwajimaya, the big asian grocery, which also has a Kinokuniya (stationery store) inside. my husband got a small haul of writing supplies but i just got this pen, because i'm obsessed with these sad little cat characters. there was a letter writing set that had the cats, too, that i may have to return for at some point because i adore these fucking things.

i also got this snack because i needed a sweet after all the salty hot pot broth. i just kinda randomly chose it but it was actually really good.

it kinda looks like i took a bite out of a tiger tail haha

anyway. that was my big long day! we spent the rest of the night at home watching a peculiar Iranian-American vampire movie, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night. i'd like to blog about that movie but it's late and i'm super tired now. maybe later!
